How to be Involved
There are numerous ways you can be involved in the Cancer Society
of New Zealand Relay For Life. These include:
- Join the Organising Committee. The organising of Relay
For Life events requires a dedicated and talented committee. We
are always looking for new people with creative ideas. To join
an organising committee in your area for more information Contact Us
- Become a Team Captain. The number of teams is limited for each venue
so to avoid missing out organise your team and register now.
- Volunteer as a performer/entertainer at the event. All
venues will have a party atmosphere with lots of entertainment.

part on the track join the thousands of other supporters on the
sidelines and cheer those who can. Check out the times, venues and a schedule of events

and improve your general well-being. Check out the cancersmart link or visit your local Cancer Society

you are with, talk enthusiastically about Relay For Life and challenge
others to be involved. Be an advocate for cancer control in your
community. To find out more about your local Cancer Society of

businesses helps reduce the cost of the event and ensure that

- Become a community advocate for cancer control all year round. There are many opportunities for the community to influence government policy in the interests of cancer control. For instance you can support the work of the Cancer Society by making a submission to the Ministry of Health's Consultation on the Future of Tobacco Displays. The Cancer Society has been campaigning to get tobacco out of sight in retail outlets and by writing a submission to the Ministry of Health you will be making a significant contribution to our work. Visit our campaign website for more information. Submissions due February 15th 2008.
