Relay for life- Greymouth
There were tears, laughter, sore feet - and a whopping $69,000 boost to the Cancer Society West Coast when the Relay For Life passed the finish line on Sunday 21st February.
Recreation Ground, High Street, Greymouth Sat 20th from 3pm til Sun 21st at 11am
$100 to register a team of up to 10 members, extra members $10.

There were tears, laughter, sore feet - and a whopping $60,000 boost to the Cancer Society West Coast when the Relay For Life passed the finish line on Sunday 21st February. Organisers say up to 3000 people attended.

The candelight ceremony at dusk on Saturday was attended by over 500 people, 255 sashes were provided to the cancer survivors who made the first lap to start the event.

Christchurch based popera star Yulia performed, after a show the previous nigth in Hokitika.They are big supporters of the Cancer Society.

It will be a good month before all the money comes in. It was great weather , and a great time!!!!
